Patrick Staplin is a partner in Severide Staplin Gamlin LLP. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1971 and has practiced law in Langley continuously since that time.
During the early part of his career, Patrick both defended and prosecuted Criminal Code and drug offences. Since 1980, in the criminal side of his practice, Patrick has acted exclusively in defending people charged with criminal offences.
Patrick is also very involved with personal injury law and helping injured people
get fair compensation for their injuries. He has been practicing personal injury law since 1971. He has acted for people suffering from all types of injuries from spinal cord injuries, severe head injuries to soft tissue injuries.
In the early 1990’s Patrick became interested in commercial litigation and has been involved in the prosecution and defence of complex cases in this area of law.
Patrick has appeared in all levels of courts in British Columbia. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and its Criminal Justice and Personal Injury subsections, and is a past president of the Fraser Valley Bar Association. Patrick is a past director of the Langley Chamber of Commerce and a current director and officer of the Langley Community Music School . |
